Q1) I’m a person with Intellectual Disabilities (ID), can I register for the event by myself?

A1) No. Persons with ID and aged 12 or above shall submit their registration through their rehabilitation organizations or special schools.

Q2) Is that I MUST be accompanied by a pair-up runner?

A2) All participants with ID must be accompanied by pair-up runners. Pair-up runners MUST have attained the age of 14 or above on the event day and in good condition of health. For pair-up runners from aged 14 to 18, please complete the “Pair-up Runner from Aged 14 to 18 Consent Form” with parent or guardian signature. Should there be any difficulties, the Organizer will provide pair-up runner for matching.。

Q3) Can my parent or the staff of the rehabilitation organization be my pair-up runner?

A3) Yes. Please note that the pair-up runner must have attained the age of 14 or above on the event day and in good condition of health. For pair-up runner from aged 14 to 18, please complete the “Pair-up Runner from Aged 14 to 18 Consent Form” with parent or guardian signature.。

Q4) How can I request a pair-up runner from the Organizer?

A4) Participants can indicate their request for pair-up runners from the Organizer in the registration form. The Organizer will endeavor to arrange the pair-up runners for matching. The both partners are then encouraged to undertake adequate training together before the race.

Q5) If the participant cannot attend the event on 13th January 2019 (Sunday), can he/she be replaced by someone else?

A5) No.

Q6) If my pair-up runner cannot attend the event on 13th January 2019 (Sunday), can he/she be replaced by someone else?

A6) Yes. For those who need to change pair-up runners on the event day, the “Updates of Registration Form” of the pair-up runner shall be submitted to the Information Counter on or before 9:15 A.M. on the same day. Otherwise, when such pair wins any prize, the Organizer will only announce the information of the original registered pair.

Q7) How to choose the racing group?

A7) Groups are classified by “Challenge Group” with 3KM and 5.7KM, while “iRun Group” with 3KM only. Participants and pair-up runners are limited to finish “Challenge Group” races within 30 minutes and 45 minutes respectively. Only “Challenge Group” races will be ranked and awarded. Further, “Challenge Group” will be categorized by gender groups and age groups, while age is counted upon the date of the event (13th January 2019 (Sunday)). “iRun Group” limit is 70 minutes and no age groups, ranking and prize will be treated. Please visit Race Information for more details.

Q8) Does the Organizer purchase any form of insurance?

A8) Third-party insurance will be covered. Meanwhile, participants and pair-up runners shall bear their own risk during the event.

Q9) How does the race course be carried out on the road?

A9) The road will be blocked for the event and no vehicle is allowed to drive in. All participants and pair-up runners are advised to pay attention to the designated race course and the instruction of the officials.

Q10) Can I join the race if I have certain types of diseases?

A10) Participants and pair-up runners are advised to have prior consultation from the doctors for medical advices to ensure their health condition is suitable for joining the race.
