Q1) I’m a person with Intellectual Disabilities (ID), can I register for the event by myself?
A1) No. Persons with ID and aged 12 or above shall submit their registration through their rehabilitation organizations or special schools.
Q2) Is that I MUST be accompanied by a pair-up runner?
A2) All participants with ID must be accompanied by pair-up runners. Pair-up runners MUST have attained the age of 18 or above on the event day and in good condition of health. Should there be any difficulties in match pair-up runners, please contact us as soon as possible. If the pair-up runners is under the age of 18, he/she must have joined the training by the ”Inclusion of School” Scheme.
Q3) Can my parent or the staff of the rehabilitation organization be my pair-up runner?
A3) Yes. Please note that the pair-up runner must have attained the age of 18 or above on the event day and in good condition of health.
Q4) If the participant cannot attend the event, can he/she be replaced by someone else?
A5) No.
Q5) If my pair-up runner cannot attend the event, can he/she be replaced by someone else?
A5) Yes. For those who need to change pair-up runners on the event day, the “Updates of Registration Form” of the pair-up runner shall be submitted to the Information Counter on or before 9:15 A.M. on the same day. Otherwise, when such pair wins any prize, the Organizer will only announce the information of the original registered pair.
Q6) How to choose the racing group?
A6) Participants can choose to participate either the Challenge Cup or the Inclusive Run according to their personal ability, training or past competition results.
The Challenge Cup is a 3KM race. Participants are required to complete the race within 30 minutes. The Challenge Cup will be divided according to gender and age. Person who reach the age of 12 on the date of the competition (12 January 2025) can participate.
The Inclusive Run is for 3KM and no prize will be arranged.Participants are required to complete the race within 60 minutes. In addition, the inclusive run is only divided according to gender.
The Participants aged 6 to 11 may join the “Family Run” Group. Race distance is about 1km. No gender group and prize will be arranged.
Q7) Does the Organizer purchase any form of insurance?
A7) Third-party insurance will be covered. Meanwhile, participants and pair-up runners shall bear their own risk during the event.
Q8) How does the race course be carried out on the road?
A8) The road will be blocked for the event and no vehicle is allowed to drive in. All participants and pair-up runners are advised to pay attention to the designated race course and the instruction of the officials.
Q9) Can I join the race if I have certain types of diseases?
A9) Participants and pair-up runners are advised to have prior consultation from the doctors for medical advices to ensure their health condition is suitable for joining the race.
