To raise awareness and foster empathy toward people with intellectual disabilities (PIDs), as well as broaden participants’ horizons, the Public Education Programmeinvites community members, such as local students from secondary schools and tertiary institutes, to join the iRun event and its programmesas pair-up runners or volunteers. Through regular practice sessions, exchange activities, volunteer services, and participation in the iRun event, community members train alongside the PIDs to build physical and mentalstrength through interaction. This aims to plant the seeds of harmony and acceptance in schools and across society, and to encourage personal growth among students while strengthening community inclusion.
